We promise your baby’s food is one less thing you have to worry about.
At Yumi, we go above and beyond to uphold the highest standards for hygiene and sanitation for our food and sourcing. While there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 through food, we continue to follow exhaustive practices to prevent the spread of germs.
First of all, we want to assure you that your baby’s food is safe. We go above industry standards, following rigorous safety and cleanliness procedures in our state-of-the-art facility. Our fully certified kitchen is regulated by the FDA and local agencies, which conduct regular inspections.
Personal protective equipment: Everyone in our facility always uses personal protective equipment, such as commercial-grade face masks and lab coats, to prevent contamination. Best Manufacturing Practices: Our kitchen regularly performs small group training to reinforce best manufacturing and sanitation practices. All surfaces are sanitized before and after each batch is cooked. Heavily Vetted Sourcing: We source our ingredients from heavily vetted organic farms and are in close contact with all of our suppliers about their sanitation and testing practices. Safe from Farm to Door: Our blends are fully cooked, thus ensuring safety standards set by regulatory agencies and achieving maximum food safety. It is then cold-pressed, to ensure that your baby's meals are safe from the moment they are packed to the moment they reach your doorstep.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will implement any CDC, FDA, state, local and national guidelines accordingly.
Due to elevated demand in recent weeks, we’ve dramatically increased our capacity this month to be able to fill orders for our families across the country every week. Your food will arrive, safe as ever. Delicious too. As a reminder, you can choose to freeze your baby's meals upon delivery.
In the meantime, here are some ways to keep you and your family healthy this flu season: The CDC recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, as you normally would during cold and flu season. To boost your immune system, NYTimes suggests load up on immunity-boosting nutrients like Zinc, Iron, Vitamin C. As always please check with your pediatrician about staying healthy this flu season. For more information on this and other ways to stay safe, please visit the CDC website.
